1. The Old Blue Last

Located in Shoreditch, this venue has welcomed a range of famous names and still keeps a welcoming, rock-pub image.
Despite its location, there’s no ‘too cool for school’ atmosphere, no industry ego and no hipster hierarchy. Just a packed, wooden room with cheap beer and great DJs when the day turns to night.
2. Shacklewell Arms
There’s always something going down in Shacklewell’s most vibrant music scene, open seven days a week. Live bands, club nights and exclusive events make this venue one of the most sought-after spots in the East.
A far cry from the smart-casual code adopted by many London venues, Shacklewell embraces its short-sleeved, hipster roots and always puts on a cracking showcase of local talent.
3. The Victoria Dalston
There may be many places in the city where you can enjoy a pub lunch in a historic pub, but this is one we highly recommend. Discover an infamous live music room by walking through an authentic bookcase.
Never failing to boast the most quirky, attention-grabbing acts from the indie and punk genres, this is one scene that won’t let the East side down.
4. OSLO

During the day, OSLO offers hearty food and drink to those walking through the doors. Nordic inspiration provides a unique selling point and atmosphere for most Hackney residents and visitors.
During the night, however, the venue transforms into a disco and party music hub. An attraction that welcomes East Londoners and music lovers alike.
5. 93 Feet East
One for the day as well as the night, this venue features a wrap-around green that hosts plenty of Londoners whenever the sun is out. As we move out of winter, this spot is well worth bearing in mind!
The bands are usually new to the scene, but the chilled atmosphere often brings out their best. Gigs roll into the night, so bring a coat just in case!
